Call for Volunteers
We are looking for people to join us in making Metamorfosis happen as volunteers at the festival! If you are interested in joining the Metamorfosis team, please read about the volunteer positions below :)
The success of the first edition of Metamorfosis in 2023 was thanks to our incredible volunteers. This year, we are reaching out again to all of you! Selling drinks at the bar, preparing the meals in the kitchen, or cleaning the lovely compost toilets - it is all (reproductive) work that we need extra hands for.
We are envisioning a group of in total around 20 people who are up for doing the work necessary to make the festival happen together with the team who has been organising the festival so far! We will meet before the festival on the 15th of September for a fun day at Can Masdeu where we can get to know each other, explore the place, and work together on a plan for the volunteer shifts - so you will get the opportunity, just like everyone else, to express your preferences regarding when and what work you want to do! The orga team will come with suggestions, but we are inviting you to share your ideas and experience with us on how to make this experience fun and sustainable for everyone :)
We will work the day before the festival to Metamorfosify Can Masdeu (think about creating safe(r) spaces, putting up signs, etc.), on the 3 days of the festival (4/5/6 Oct) and on the day after the festival to bring back Can Masdeu to its pre-festival glory, and taking with us amazing memories.
As a degrowth and queer ecology collective, we will not glorify “hard work”, but instead aim to prefigure what (reproductive) work can look like outside of / in the cracks of capitalism. We believe that by centring our willingness to do work, and focussing on satisfying everyone's needs as best as possible we can create an enriching environment to work together. However, we recognise that doing physical labour is not accessible for everyone, and that therefore being part of the volunteering team is exclusive in this sense. We decided on a group of max 20 volunteers, because we think that this group size allows for getting to know each other well enough to build trust, and make some connections over the time period that we spend together! We calculated that with each person contributing 4 hours of work per day, we should be able to have the festival up and running - this means that you will have time every day to participate and enjoy the festival sessions, and take the rest you need. You will get 3 meals per day and you will get a spot in Can Masdeu to sleep.

- Are motivated to contribute to making Metamorfosis happen

- Sunday 15 September (getting to know each other)
- Thursday 3 October (build-up day)
- Friday 4 October (day 1 of the festival)
- Saturday 5 October (day 2 of the festival)
- Sunday 6 October (day 3 of the festival)
- Monday 7 October (clean-up day)
What do we offer?

What does it entail?
- You will work for max. 4 hours per day so you will have enough time to participate in the sessions of the festival program

- You will work in a team of around 20 people to foster trust and meaningful connections

Llamada a Voluntaries
¡Estamos buscando personas que se unan a nosotres como voluntaries en el festiva para hacer que Metamorfosis sea posible! Si estás interesade en unirte al equipo de Metamorfosis, por favor lee sobre las posiciones de voluntariado a continuación :)
El éxito de la primera edición de Metamorfosis en 2023 fue gracias a nuestres increíbles voluntaries. ¡Este año, os volvemos a llamar para ayudarnos! Vender bebidas en el bar, preparar las comidas en la cocina o limpiar los encantadores baños de compost - todo es trabajo (reproductivo) para el que necesitamos manos adicionales.
Estamos planeando un grupo de alrededor de 20 personas que estén dispuestas a hacer el trabajo necesario para hacer que el festival suceda junto con el equipo que ha estado organizando el festival hasta ahora. Nos reuniremos antes del festival el 15 de septiembre para un día divertido en Can Masdeu donde podremos conocernos, explorar el lugar y trabajar juntos en un plan para los turnos de voluntariado, así tendrás la oportunidad, al igual que todes les demás, de expresar tus preferencias sobre cuándo y qué trabajo quieres hacer. El equipo organizador vendrá con sugerencias, pero te invitamos a compartir tus ideas y experiencias con nosotres sobre cómo hacer que esta experiencia sea divertida y sostenible para todes :)
Trabajaremos el día antes del festival para Metamorfosear Can Masdeu (creando espacios más seguros, poniendo señales, etc.), durante los 3 días del festival (4/5/6 de octubre) y el día después del festival para devolver Can Masdeu a su gloria pre-festival, llevándonos con nosotres recuerdos increíbles.
Como colectivo de decrecimiento y ecología queer, no glorificamos el "trabajo duro", sino que buscamos prefigurar cómo puede ser el trabajo (reproductivo) fuera del capitalismo o en sus grietas. Creemos que al centrarnos en nuestra disposición a trabajar y enfocarnos en satisfacer las necesidades de todes lo mejor posible, podemos crear un entorno enriquecedor para trabajar juntos. Sin embargo, reconocemos que hacer trabajo físico no es accesible para todes, y que por lo tanto, ser parte del equipo de voluntarios es exclusivo en este sentido. Decidimos formar un grupo de máximo 20 voluntaries, porque pensamos que este tamaño de grupo permite conocernos lo suficiente como para construir confianza y establecer algunas conexiones durante el tiempo que pasamos juntes. Calculamos que con cada persona contribuyendo 4 horas de trabajo por día, deberíamos poder tener el festival en funcionamiento, esto significa que tendrás tiempo cada día para participar y disfrutar de las sesiones del festival, y tomar el descanso que necesites. Tendrás 3 comidas al día y un lugar para dormir en Can Masdeu.
